Robert Rayl | Varsity Facility Services | Vice President | Construction Division
Robert Rayl is the Senior Vice President of Varsity’s Facility Maintenance and Construction Division and reports directly to the CEO, Eric Luke. In his role, Robert manages all aspects of Varsity construction, including shopping center maintenance and construction contracts and licenses in all states where Varsity does construction business. He manages, as well, all school and manufacturing related maintenance and construction projects, all retail and office construction build outs, project management, and gymnasium product sales and services (including all equipment, flooring, scorer tables, gym floors, etc.). Robert is also responsible for the development and management of the FamilySAFE Storm Shelter Distributorships which operate in Missouri, Illinois, Ohio, Indiana, part of Kansas and part of Arkansas . Robert is also a member of the FamilySAFE Corporate Board of Directors and is the President of the Property Owners association in Missouri.
Robert has extensive experience maintenance and construction management. He has managed over $100 million of construction activity per annum and was responsible for over $100 million in annual volume with Varsity’s contract with Simon Properties. Robert instigated and established the ancillary and extra work program at Varsity and is responsible for bringing the construction and project management as well as product sales work to Varsity. He is also responsible for developing and managing the FamilySAFE Storm Shelter distribution and installation business.
He was a past member of the Emergency Response Team for Simon Property Group, a transition team leader for newly acquired properties within Simon and a guest speaker and presenter in various industry related trade shows and events.
Prior to his current role, Robert managed the operations of over 65 super regional shopping centers and over 40 strip mall centers across the United States. Robert led over a dozen newly acquired real estate transitions and property acquisition teams during his career and completed the full or partial renovations of various super regional shopping centers in the Midwest.
Robert graduated with an AA in Industrial Arts and Technology from Hutchinson Community College and has had over 26 years’ experience in building maintenance and construction.
Robert coaches Elite Girls AAU basketball, golfs, is a NRA member and enjoys firearm activities and loves anything that involves his children.
