Larry Kirby | Regional Manager | Varsity Facility Services
Larry Kirby reports to the Divisional Vice-President, Western U.S. As a Regional Manager, Larry is responsible for overseeing operations and customer relations for Arizona and Colorado and Varsity’s largest international account. He is a member of the Varsity Executive Strategic Committee.
Larry has been principal in nurturing and securing long-term relationships for Varsity. His continued focus, responsiveness and customer service has helped sustain and meet customer needs for one of Varsity’s largest accounts with over 3,000 facilities in the United States and Canada.
He has been instrumental in growing Varsity’s handyman services and continues to provide proactive solutions to Varsity’s customers.
Larry brought operational insight serving on committees for Varsity’s standardized JanOPS® Operating System and for its web-based work order, periodic and inspection management system.
Larry is active in the industry as a member of IFMA (International Facility Management Association, which is the world’s largest and most widely recognized international association for professional facility managers) and BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association). He is also a member of APPA (which promotes excellence in all phases of educational facilities management) and has a special interest and experience with educational facilities.
Prior to assuming his responsibilities, Larry successfully oversaw the sale, start-up and implementation of a multi-national account in 25 states and all of Canada. He has been a district manager and later as a regional operations manager over Utah and Arizona, where he was responsible for major growth and profitability in those areas.
Larry has a BA in Sociology with emphasis in Psychology and Teaching, and a minor in Spanish.
He is a devoted husband, father and grandfather, enjoys writing poetry and music, playing the piano and singing, reading a good mystery novel, watching and playing basketball, travelling and photography.
